The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority provided financial support to small and medium enterprises after the electronic invoicing system was announced, where the Saudi Council of Ministers agreed to the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority to provide financial support to the enterprises targeted by the electronic invoicing regulation , whose annual revenues do not exceed an amount of 3 million riyals.

What Is The E-invoicing Support ?

It is a ministerial order issued in early 2021, which states that the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority shall provide financial support to the enterprises targeted by the electronic invoicing regulation whose annual revenues do not exceed an amount of (3,000,000) three million riyals. As the support contributes to its continuity and growth. Where the financial support for a single facility amounts to 2500 riyals to cover the cost of the merchant’s cloud program to be able to issue electronic invoices in compliance with the requirements of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, in order to be able to cover the costs of electronic invoicing, which supports these facilities to continue to avoid commercial violations related to the digital transformation of invoices.

What Are The Conditions To Obtain Financial Support For Small and Medium Enterprises?



1- The facility shall be subject to the electronic invoicing regulation ( The Establishments who practice a commercial activity and are registered with the Authority for Value Added Tax in the Kingdom).

2- The annual revenues of the establishment should not exceed three million riyals.

What Is The Value Of Government Support For Electronic Invoicing?


The financial support for small and medium-sized enterprises from the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority covers the cost of subscribing to a cloud program for issuing invoices, which amounts to 2500 Saudi riyals.

What Are The Steps To Apply For The Financial Support For Enterprises Eligible For Zakat Support For E-invoicing?


Step 1: 


Log in to your account through the website of the Zakat and Tax Authority, and g o to: Indirect Taxes - Value Added Tax.

Step 2: 


Click on the request for electronic invoicing support. 

Step 3:


Enter the invoice reference number, amount and  purchase date of the electronic invoicing program, and the service provider (choose from the list of qualified electronic invoicing service providers with the Zakat and Tax Authority).

Step 4:


Attach the invoicing program purchase receipt and a sample of the electronic invoice that was issued by the electronic invoicing technical solution program, send the support request and wait for the authority’s response by e-mail.
